Breanna Carter, LLMSW

Therapist

Taking the first step in the direction of our goals can be intimidating. Life can be confusing and, at times, difficult to navigate. Likewise, the path to personal development and growth is not always linear. Wherever you may be on your personal journey, I will meet you there. Together, we will utilize evidence-based practices to explore any unproductive thought patterns to change the way the brain processes and responds to our environment. We will explore relevant coping skills to navigate relationships, work/school related stress, and any other self-identified challenges of your daily life. We will learn and discuss healthy boundaries, how to effectively label and process emotions, and identify any recurring patterns affecting you in the present. I work from a strength-based, person-centered model, and believe the only person who can determine what is best for you is, of course, YOU!

My name is Breanna (Bre) Carter, I earned my master of social work at Grand Valley State University. I self identity as bisexual and maintain a status of both a proud member of the LGBTQA+ community and supportive ally for my fellow members.

If you are looking for support in your process of coming out, navigating new relationships, or simply discovering your identity, you have come to the right place. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of ADHD, ASD, Generalized Anxiety, and OCD to work on establishing effective coping mechanisms and tools to manage symptoms and improve overall quality of life.
