I consider myself a “worldly nurturer.” “Worldly” because I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many cultures, backgrounds, ages, and walks of life; and “nurturer” because my work is centered on supporting people as they grow into their potential. Over the years, my experiences have shaped the foundational skills I bring to therapy today—patience, deep listening, cultural humility, resourcefulness, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, crisis, behavioral and cognitive adjustment, life skill building, college and professional preparation, and major life transitions. I believe every encounter teaches us something fundamental about ourselves and moves us, even incrementally, toward self-improvement and resilience.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, integrating strengths-based and solution-focused strategies, family systems perspectives, and CBT-informed skill building. I tailor treatment to the goals and growth milestones that matter most to each person, designing care around the outcomes they hope to achieve. I look forward to working with you, if you allow me the privilege.
