I’m here to help you achieve your goals by offering options, ideas, solutions, and the strategies to get there. If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, you’re my ideal client. I’ve spent more than 13 years in the field of social work and consider myself an “out-of-the-box” clinician—original, genuine, and open-minded, with a holistic view of what it means to live well. I believe in the power of a good smile, a good laugh, and the occasional good cry.
My approach is strengths-based, solution-focused, and collaborative. I enjoy helping clients “level up” by building confidence, developing new skills, and learning how to navigate the hard parts of life with resilience. I am open to both faith-based and non-faith-based strategies and support clients in drawing from the tools that align with their beliefs, values, and goals. I believe deeply that the hardest chapters of our lives can be used as fuel for growth and transformation.
My lived experiences shape my work in meaningful ways. I’m an autism dad, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Michigan National Guard, and I returned to college in my mid-30s to pursue my social work degrees. These experiences inform my understanding of discipline, motivation, identity, and change—both for individuals and families.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy playing guitar and singing, fishing, disc golf, and spending time outdoors. I’m a spiritual person at heart and believe we all have tools at our disposal to overcome life’s challenges—it’s often just a matter of learning where those tools are and how to use them. As Carl Jung once said, “I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”
If you’re ready to level up, let’s get started.
